STONE MASONRY PRODUCTS: Stone samples are used to show the general range of color the purchaser can expect. Sampling a current production run in stock at the quarry is the most accurate method of viewing color and texture. The appearance of the stone in the final product is also affected by the job design, workmanship, bond pattern, joint finish, and cleaning method. Coffman Stone does not take any responsibility for these masonry services. Please note quarry’s instructions for proper installation. All materials should be inspected prior to their installation. Coffman Stone does not assume any responsibility for material after it has been incorporated into the structure and it expressly states that it will not pay labor costs for removal of incorporated products. Stone is a natural product, which will have minor indentations or surface cracks incidental to the usual method of quarrying, shipment and delivery. Please refer to the ASTM standards for more specific information concerning stone and paver specifications. MSDS sheets are available upon request. We do not recommend acid for cleaning stone or sealing of any kind. Customers do this at their own risk.

NATURAL STONE SAMPLES: Our samples represent the general characteristics of the stone. Natural variations can and will occur in size, color, and texture. Wall stone can vary in size. Our samples are not to be interpreted as the only size within a sample range. Stone, as it ages, can change colors on the outer surface. To reveal the character and color of the stone, some tooling may be involved. Newly quarried stone can oxidize, darken, lighten, or otherwise change from the appearance either shown in the sample walls or represented in stock. Our stone samples have been professionally installed. Many of the stones were tooled, or shaped to achieve the desired appearance. To achieve the appearance you desire, some tooling may be necessary. No employee of Coffman Stone is an architect or engineer. Any specific structural or professional questions should be addressed to the builder or architect or other qualified professional.

CAUTION: Sawing or grinding of stone and concrete masonry units may result in the release of dust particles, which could cause minor eye or nose irritation if proper protective equipment is not in place. Exposure to excessive amounts over a long period of time without appropriate protection may result in lung disease (Silicosis). The use of a NIOSH approved respirator and tight fitting goggles is recommended when sawing or grinding operations are in progress.

PRICES: Prices are subject to change without prior notice and to correct for errors. All Prices are F.O.B. our yard. Delivery Charges will be added to Invoice.

LATE CHARGES: Accounts Past Due may be placed on C.O.D. Late charges will be computed at 2% per month (24% per annum) on any invoices which are not paid by the 1st day of the month following the due date. A minimum late charge of $1.00 per month will be applied to all past due accounts under $100.00.

PAYMENT GUARANTEE: PURCHASER (including Owner(s), Principal(s), Heir(s) and/or Assign(s) agrees by accepting delivery of the items, to assume full and complete responsibility for payment thereof, according to SELLER’S terms and conditions, as specified herein, PURCHASER further agrees to reimburse SELLER for any and all expenses of any kind, including attorney’s fees and/or court costs incurred in an effort to obtain payment for this purchase.

RETURN MATERIALS: It is the Customer’s obligation to immediately inspect product and notify Coffman Stone of any defective or non-conforming product. Failure to notify within seven days constitutes acceptance of product. No materials may be returned without prior approval of Coffman stone.

DELIVERIES: Our vehicles, fully loaded can weigh in excess of 30,000 lbs. and as much as 80,000 lbs. Under certain conditions damage can occur to your (or your customers’) property, including but not limited to driveways, sod, foundations, etc. Our delivery service provides for curbside delivery. In consideration of delivery onto the premises, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coffman Stone and its employees of all claims on account of an unintentional trespass or damage to any of the said premises or improvements thereon, or to any of the said deliveries, notwithstanding sellers exercise of ordinary care. Delivery will not be permitted in any area where risk of injury to driver, and/or bystanders, and damage to vehicle exists. This includes areas under or around electrical power lines. We are not responsible for any property damages, claims or liability caused by deliveries beyond the curb line.
